What a privilege it is to participate in God’s
work around the world and meet the
physical and spiritual needs of people in
developing countries and disaster areas,
those Jesus refers to in Matthew 25:31-45
as “the least of these.” (KJV)
By God’s grace and through your faithful prayers, volunteer work, and financial
support, Water Missions International was able to provide sustainable
access to safe water to more than 345,000 people in 16 countries in 2007.
Access to clean, safe water was provided to people in dozens of new communities
in developing countries and for
thousands of survivors of natural disasters
around the world.
In 2007, we experienced significant growth
in both community development and
disaster response projects. In March, we
kicked off our most comprehensive project
to date, SafeWater-Colon, a multi-year
project serving an estimated 250,000 people in Colon, Honduras with safe
water and sanitation. We also stepped out in faith to establish new Country
Programs in Haiti and Kenya with in-country staffing.
We continue to see the Lord open many doors of opportunities, but the
needs are great as we strive to serve the estimated 1.1 billion people who
lack access to safe water. We are grateful for your partnership with us, and
we have faith in God’s promise found in 2 Corinthians 9:8-9, (NIV): “And
God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:
‘He scattered abroad His gifts to the poor, His righteousness endures
forever.’”
